Interior Designer

Our team of exceptional Interior Designers is at the forefront of our success, and we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as an Interior Designer.

We are based in the stunning Cayman Islands and have forged a reputation for creating transformative spaces. If you have Corporate Office experience, a strong design sense and visualization skills, we would love to hear from you. Residential experience would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process for commercial interior projects from initial concept through construction documentation and execution
  • Develop design concepts, space plans, finish palettes, and material selections that reflect the project budget and key client objectives and brand identity
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including specification of materials, FF&E, color and branding
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and detailing.
  • Produce and oversee presentation materials, including mood boards, renderings and FF&E documentation.
  • Ensure code compliance, accessibility standards, and sustainability goals are integrated into designs
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Lead Contract Administration on projects including the preparation of meeting minutes, and timely review of shop drawings, submittals and RFI’s.

Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Approach to Work

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and consultants, maintaining a professional and solutions-focused approach.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and consultants. Lead project meetings & client presentations
  • Organize and prioritize own work efforts in addition to assisting team members
  • Contribute to a team approach through the spirit of collaboration
  • Mentoring and management of junior staff

Core Software Proficiencies

  • AutoCAD- 2D drafting, detailing, and technical drawing
  • Revit drafting an asset
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) documentation, reports, schedules and communication
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) skills nice to have
  • 3D Max, Rhino, or SketchUp nice to have for 3D visualization

Education, Experience and Training

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • 10+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply 2009 International Building Code, ADA requirements
  • NCIDQ certification preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high degree of professionalism
