We are based in the stunning Cayman Islands and have forged a reputation for creating transformative spaces. We are a multi-disciplined design firm specializing in corporate interiors, commercial building and residential homes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design, have a strong design sense and technical skills.

Technical Building Knowledge

• Deep understanding of construction methods, materials and detailing.
• Knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering systems.
• Strong ability to translate design concepts into buildable technical drawings.
• Ability to lead the technical design efforts on Architecture & Interior Design projects through all phases of the projects
• Skilled in structuring architectural drawings sets for clarity and construction use
• Ability to ‘cartoon’ the full sheet set early in the project to ensure logical flow, efficient documentation and coordination with consultants.
• Develop and oversee production of design detailing and construction documentation

Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Approach to Work

• Proactively resolve design and constructive challenges through thoughtful analysis and practical solutions
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and consultants, maintaining a professional and solutions-focused approach.
• Organize and prioritize own work efforts in addition to assisting team members
• Contribute to a team approach through the spirit of collaboration
• Mentoring and management of junior staff

Core Software Proficiencies

• AutoCAD- 2D drafting, detailing, and technical drawing
• Revit – BIM modeling, documentation, scheduling and collaboration
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) documentation, reports, schedules and communication
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) skills nice to have
• 3D Max, Rhino, or SketchUp nice to have for 3D visulations

Education, Experience and Training

• Degree from a recognized Architectural Technologist program or BSC degree in Architecture
• minimum of 10 years’ experience
• Ability to read, interpret and apply 2009 International Building Code
