Intertrust is a leading global financial services firm. After outgrowing their turnkey office space, they were looking to establish a new permanent home. As the anchor tenant of 1 Nexus Way, Intertrust had an entire floor to shape into their new facility.
With design well underway when COVID-19 broke out, many iterations of the plan were adapted as social distancing guidelines and new spatial standards started to form. With the team being out of office for over a year, Intertrust wanted to create a space to help rebuild their company culture, with each employee having their own space and an emphasis on social gatherings.
The main open office/workspace is set against a neutral backdrop. Main circulation paths were kept generous to allow for social distancing. Break out areas and cafés punctuate the office with lively bolts of colour. There are two cafés that anchor the floor plan, one overlooking the lively main street in Camana Bay, and a more serene one overlooking the calming Seven Mile Beach. Creating diverse spaces allows employees to choose how they interact with their new built environment.
A major feature of the new space is the extensive use of glazing, allowing everyone access to natural light. For privacy and liveliness, graphic ribbons reminiscent of the new logo were used in a film application on most areas of glass. The result is a diverse office space that is both vibrant and calming depending on where you wish to work.
