Foster’s Republix Supermarket

At Frederick + McRae, we believe in designs that evolve alongside the communities they serve. Our recent work on the expansion and upgrade of Foster’s Republix Supermarket is a testament to this vision. Over the last 30 years, the supermarket has grown to meet the needs of one of Cayman’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods. Our challenge was to unify the building’s appearance while enhancing energy efficiency and modernising the space.

The design incorporates an exterior insulated panel system that delivers high performance for both walls and roof. Wood-look accent panels introduce warmth, while a louvred screen and canopy seamlessly tie together three decades of architectural growth. The roof also supports solar array collectors, reinforcing the project’s sustainable approach.

Today, Foster’s Republix features a refreshed exterior, improved parking, and bright, contemporary interiors—bringing modern convenience and efficiency to the heart of the Cayman community.
